This has been a life changing year. One year ago, August 8, 2010 I entered Shades of Hope Eating disorder clinic. This time last year on August 17, I celebrated my birthday at the clinic with 7 other courageous ladies. We were part of the cast for the  8 part doc-seris called "Addicted To Food", which aired on the Oprah Winfrey Network April 5, 2011 - May 25, 2011.

That was the first time I celebrated any birthday WITHOUT a Birthday Cake! We had vegetables for my birthday! What a diiference a year makes! I've lost close to 80 pounds now! Still got a long way to go, but I'm going in the right direction!

Where Did I Go To Lunch For My Birthday Today?
Vickie asked me where she could take me for lunch...hmm...Decisions, decision.

Jason's Deli! I have been going there almost everyday since I got home from Shades of Hope September 25, 2010. When I got home from Shades I found a local Daibeteic Nutritionist, Angie Lopez, to work with. One of the things we do is go to a different restaurant every so often and analyze the menu to see what I can and can't have on meal plan. Turns out she LOVES Jason's Deli too and so do I!

I usually get the mixed green salad, with some spinach and broccoli. And sometimes with a fruite plate. What's funny is I NEVER ate broccoli until a year ago and now I eat broccoli EVERY day!

When I walked into today I was greeted as usual by the crew with warmth and effection. Molly the manager asked, "how are you Robby" and I jokingly said " it's my BIRTHDAY today are you going to buy me lunch"? She said YES! I was kidding about the lunch but she didn't miss a beat and she said YES!

That made my day! Vickie was also thrilled at their kind gesture.  If you have never been to Jason's Deli, do your self a favor and go. I've been going their for over 10 months and NOT ONCE have I had a bad meal! The staff is awesome and ALWAYS helpful. The bathroomns are ALWAYS clean. The food is ALWAYS fresh and HEALTHY!

I aslo LOVE the theme that is on  ALL their shirts. Eat Responsibly! WOW! What a concept! I had to go to a eating disorder clinic to learn to eat responsibly! At Jason's Deli this is part of their message. What can I say? I LOVE this place! Stephan, Bunny, Molly and all the crew are awesome! Stop by, have a bite and say hello! If you're in town, call me, because I'll probably meet you their!

By the way, all during lunch my phone was going beep, beep, beep! Vickie said what's up with your phone? I shared it was people on Facebook book wishing me a Happy Birthday! To the hundreds of people that wished me Happy Birthday on Facebook THANK YOU! YOu made my day! I feel the LOVE!

Tomorrow is the big day! The World Premiere of "Addicted To Food" " on the OWN, Oprah Winfrey Network at 10pm. My day starts at 9am at the local Las Vegas ABC affiliate, The Morning Blend. Here I will be doing my first live TV interview promoting the show.

I will be interviewed sometime between 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM. I might even get a chance to play my guitar live during the show! Wouldn't that be COOL! If you are out of the Las Vegas area, I'll try to get a copy of and post it on my blog.

To my local Las Vegas fans, the The Morning Blend is on Cox Cable and Direct TV, Channel 13. Hopefully some of you can tune in.

I've been in almost daily contact with my peeps from the show since coming home in October. No doubt this experience has braught us closer together than any of us had ever expected. As a matter of fact, I am closer to some of the women on this show than many other people I have known for 20 or 30 years.  I absoulutely Love and Adore these Brave and Courageous women.

The Strings For Tibet Benefit concert on Saturday night
April 25, 2009 at 7:30 was awesome! If you were there
you witnessed a magnificient rainbow of talent.
