Strings For Tibet – Cavatina
I opened the Las Vegas “Strings For Tibet” Concert with a
song by Stanley Meyers called Cavatina. This song was featured
in the movie the Deer Hunter with Robert DeNiro.
I used a Godin Guitar Synthesizer with a Roland VG-99. With this
combination I was able to create a Sitar/Guitar sound. It sounded great.
This piece was originally written for Classical Guitar and Orchestra. In this
version, I improvised an solo introduction just playing my guitar synthesizer.
The band doesn’t come in for a minute or two. Notice the Sitar/Bells
sound…After the video, tell me what you think…
I look forward to your comments…
