Hi Robby,

Like you I was raised Republican, however I have never found a candidate I liked that made it to the nomination. So, rather than cast a vote outside of the two party lines, I don't vote. With the current race, it is coming close to making me actually register but I doubt it.

I know some will poo poo my choice of not voting however I view inaction as action in this case. I have watched many of the debates leading up to where we are now. The best thing for my humor therapy has been the addition of Gov. Palin. Just thinking about the Saturday Night Live skits makes me laugh.

As far as McCain, I have to agree with former Minn. Gov. Jesse Ventura. even though I served in the military, I am not going to vote for McCain based on his patriotic military service, and to think Palin is a heartbeat away from the presidency freaks me out to no end. With McCain's health condition, you need to plan for the worse.

I believe McCain actually wants Obama to win and that is why he picked Palin, to set himself up for failure. Maybe because of his Maverick tendencies, he set the republicans up to get the nomination in order to loose and give the coutry back to the democrats. A fiendish plan, but possible.

First thing to remember is the election is not won by popular vote.

Second thing to remember is if you can't choose a good president, at least vote wisely when choosing your Senate and House.

We are in for a very rough ride coming into the next year, and neither candidate is a solution to our mess.

I used to have land 6 miles from the Canadian border for times like these, but no I'll just have to head to Costa Rica if it gets too bad.

OBAMA all the way....we can't afford 4 more years of the same shit. This country is 3/4 of the way in the shitter due to the republican's messes and big businesses controlling the whitehouse... Our healthcare is in shambles, our Armies are basically shot to shit, our economy is in the shitter, and all they want to do is spend a LOT of money and cut taxes... Where does the money come from then????? The top 0.5% of the richest people in this country make more than the other 99.5% together - yet we want to cut their taxes and create more loopholes so that out tax dollars get either refunded to companies leaving this country in droves? Hell they even get credits for it! Total Bullshit. If I have to pay my taxes, why shouldn't they? They want to call themselves single entities, yet want protections that you or I do not get? You can't have it both ways....

Drilling isn't the answer.
Creationism isn't the answer...
Faith based initiatives are not the answer.
Shitting on our constitution isn't the answer.

Education is.
Energy independance is.
Manufacturing is.
Following the law is.... (If you have to invent or distort the law to make something seem legal, well...guess what?...it probably isn't legal. DON'T DO IT!

Obama is an exciting and engaging scripted speaker. He has the ability to draw crowds of people who are looking for the opportunity of 'HOPE' and their financial support. Does that qualify him for the White House? The media likes him, we need get behind the Republicans!!!!!!!!!!!

hi rob,
leaning towards mccain in a big way. it is mainly due to his lack of experience in foreign policy. with all going on in the world these days we need a tough guy who has gone through and understands the options.
