I Played At SAM Last Weekend!

Wednesday, April 18th, 2012

This Past Weekend I Was Performing At The Lock, Lee and Farrell Event Called "SAM"!

SAM stands for Sales, Advertising and Marketing. Andrew Lock, Ryan Lee and Chris Farrell joined forces to create SAM. The event took place at the historic Egyptian Theater in the middle of Park City, Utah. This is the same place that the Sundance Film Festival takes place every year. About 250 people in attendance. The snow was coming down every day.

The room was full of Who's Who in the Sales & Marketing World. There were probably 20 or so speakers. What is unique about this event is, each presenter had a total of 21 minutes to share their BEST marketing strategies or Tips.

In between presenters they provided entertainment. Last year was their first SAM Event and I played at that event. I was blessed that they ask me to come back for return engagement this year. Met new friends and musicians! In this video I played a song by Sting called Fragile...

The First Video is Just an Introduction...The 2nd Video is me playing Fragile...

Fragile Video

What I LOVE most about performing at events like this are all the Entrepreneurs that I meet. They are such a CREATIVE bunch of folks!

I'll be posting another video shortly of me playing George Benson's Breezin and Latin Jazz at the SAM event.

Musicians Institute Reunion Friday March 23, 2012

Tuesday, April 10th, 2012

Hello Musician's Institute Alumni and Friends! The video below is a photo video montage of our event Friday Night March 23, 2012 in Hollywood, California.

This video is just an small over view of the Teachers, Mentors and Friends that reunited after 35 years! This was a reunion of the classes 1977- 1994. About 300 students from those past
classes came to the reunion along with most of the teachers from those past years.

Yes a few great masters were missing due various issues including health or they are no longer with us like, Joe Diorio, Carl Schroder, Bob Magnusson, Jimmy Wyble, Howard Roberts...

But the essence of what the school was and what it has done for thousands of students is ever so present in these photos. As many said during our conversations, our 1 year at G.I.T. or Musician's Institute was the BEST year of most of our LIVES! The reunion for me was the second best weekend of my life!

I think the song is perfect!

To Joe Diorio - WE ALL REALLY MISSED YOU!

Where Were You On September 11, 2001?

September 11, 2001 has touched everyones life in one way or another and continues to do so on a regular basis.

Now, 10 years later we as Americans people are not paralized by this event, but a day does not go by when we do not hear on the news something about terrorism.

If the news doesn't talk about it, the politicians remind us.

Bottom line, the events of September 11, 2001 changed the American culture and the world forever.

The following video is the first video project I completed while attending film school at CCSN in 2005. This video is from the documentary Vickie and I directed and produced called "Where Were You on 9/11?". This aired on Tv 12 times...

..

Here are the lyrics to the song Pass It On...In Memory of September 11, 2001

Music by - Robby LeBlanc -
Lyrics by - Robby LeBlanc and Vickie Pieper
=====================================================

"PASS It On"
Before The World We Saw, The Twin Towers Fall,
In Disbelief We Watched The Horror of It all,
Now The World, Is Watching What We Will Do,
I Pray To God, That We Will Do What's Right To Do,

But if I Find Some Real Wisdom,
Then What I'll Do is Pass It On...
But if I Find Some Real Wisdom,
Then What I'll Do is Pass It On...

I Didn't Know That We, Were Hated All That Much,
I Feel Lost That I Have Been So Out of Touch,
Because I'm Free, To See, The World With Opens Eyes,
I Can't Tell the Difference,
Between The Truth and All The Lies,

But if I Find Some Real Wisdom,
Then What I'll Do is Pass It On.
