Robby LeBlanc Climbed Mt Charleston Over The Weekend

Tuesday, May 1st, 2012

Robby LeBlanc's Mount Kilimanjaro Climb With Werner Berger is Just Under 2 Months Away! AND... Every Week of Training Between Now and Then Counts!

This past Friday, my friend George Callens and I climbed Mary Jane Falls on Mt Charleston. At the top of this path it's about 9100 feet. There was still SNOW at the top! I believe there are 6 or 7 hiking trails on Mt Charleston.

The degree of difficulty of each hiking trail varies  from EASY to EXTREMELY Strenuous. Mary Jane Falls is considered Strenuous.

I've got about 45 days to prepare for my Mt Kilimanjaro Climb in June 2012. I've been training the last 5 months. But this last month, these 45 days are crucial.  I'll be doing more stair master, bike and treadmill to get my cardio in the best possible condition for the climb. In order to do that, I've got to turn up the INTENSITY and TIME I spend in the gym.

Enjoy The Video - It's About 5 Minutes.. - You will See George Slide Down The SNOW on His BUTT!

If you like hiking, Mary Jane Falls on Mt Charleston is a beautiful hike. It will take you a couple hours, but it's worth it! AND the view is SPECTACULAR!

I plan on going up to Mt Charleston once a week until I leave for Africa June 17, 2012.

PS -  I LOVE my PROPET Hiking Boots! I have been breaking them in at the gym, but this was the first climb with them and they are AWESOME!!

Musicians Institute Reunion Friday March 23, 2012

Tuesday, April 10th, 2012

Hello Musician's Institute Alumni and Friends! The video below is a photo video montage of our event Friday Night March 23, 2012 in Hollywood, California.

This video is just an small over view of the Teachers, Mentors and Friends that reunited after 35 years! This was a reunion of the classes 1977- 1994. About 300 students from those past
classes came to the reunion along with most of the teachers from those past years.

Yes a few great masters were missing due various issues including health or they are no longer with us like, Joe Diorio, Carl Schroder, Bob Magnusson, Jimmy Wyble, Howard Roberts...

But the essence of what the school was and what it has done for thousands of students is ever so present in these photos. As many said during our conversations, our 1 year at G.I.T. or Musician's Institute was the BEST year of most of our LIVES! The reunion for me was the second best weekend of my life!

I think the song is perfect!

To Joe Diorio - WE ALL REALLY MISSED YOU!

I’m Climbing This Saturday For The American Lung Association

Tuesday, February 28th, 2012

This Saturday, March 3, 2012 I Will Be Climbing The Stratosphere Hotel Casino For Charity!

Please consider sponsoring me as I exercise my heart and lungs to raise money for the American Lung Association. Go There Now! http://bit.ly/AsnVTe

For those of you that have never been to Las Vegas, The Stratosphere Hotel Casino probably is the tallest Hotel Casino on the Las Vegas Strip. It reminds me of a space ship in the sky! It's the hotel everyone points at some point and asks, "What's that". It's got a wonderful restaruant at the top that rotates so one can see the entire city during one meail. It's truly a beautiful view.

The Stratosphere is HUGE! -  108 floors; 1455 steps.
The only people allowed in the emergency stairwell are the Fireman and Police. But once a year they open it up to a few brave souls to try to climb it for charity, The American Lung Association.
Why I AM Doing Climbing The Stratosphere?
First, it is a challenge for me personally. It is great training for my upcoming climb in Africa. Also to raise money to fight lung disease. There are many people out there who struggle to breathe when they take a few steps or climb any number of stairs. One year and a half ago, I use to be one of those people that stuggle to walk 30 feet!

I have committed to raise $500 for this worthy cause. Please consider sponsoring me for this cause? No pressure, if you can help out great, if not NO worries.
Your donations will be a tax-deductible pledge.

Thank You For Your Consideration,

I Need a Hernia Operation

Thursday, June 9th, 2011

Robby LeBlanc gives a thumbs up in his back yard!Robby LeBlanc here wishing you all well. Here is a recent photo!

The Oprah Winfrey Network project "Addicted TO Food" was a fantastic experience. The last episode aired last week but you can still catch the last 3 episodes online at www.Oprah.com/own. As many of you have been following my progress, it truly saved my life.

To date I've lost 70 pounds and still losing!
My HDL's, LDL's, and Cholesterol are in normal zones for the first time in my life. My Diabetes A1c is 5.2! THis is awesome! I've known for a while I had a belly button hernia but never thought it was serious.

As I've continued to lose weight, the hernia became more apparent. I recently went to a doctor to check it out and he said I should'nt do ANY strenous exercise until I get this fixed. No crunches, weights, ect...

Robby LeBlanc's belly button hernia.

Robby's hernia!

The hernia does not hurt, how ever if it blows out, then  I have an emergency which significantly complicates matters. As some of you know, I have some exciting health goals I want to accomplish in the future. Since 2004 I have wanted to climb  MT Kilimanjaro.I can't even think of this or begin training at the level required unti l the hernia is repaired.

So I've been talking to Doctors. I'll give you an update shortly.
That's the latest.
Keep Being Brilliant!
