Las Vegas Guitarist Plays Fragile

Sunday, February 7th, 2010

A few weeks ago I was invited to sit in and play with the group
Odyessy in Las Vegas. The song they invited me to play was
“Fragile”  written by Sting. It is a haunting and beautiful melody.

Hope you enjoy it…

I look forward to your comments…

Finding God

Tuesday, August 18th, 2009

I have always been a student of spiritual studies as
far back as I can remember. The video below entitled
“Finding God”  is a final project for one of the classes I
was taking at my church.

The music in the video is music that I wrote called
“Have You Ever Wondered” which is on my CD.
called “You Touch Me”. Turn up your speakers before
the you hit the play button on the video.

I’d love to hear your comments…

Have a Great Day,

Taj Mahal Trip

Friday, July 17th, 2009

A while back Vickie and I had the good fortune of traveling to India and seeing
the Taj Mahal. We were invited by our good friend and spiritual warrior Father Leo.
Father Leo came to our church as a guest speaker on the same day I was the feature
musician. We hit it off instantly. He thought it may be possible to have me perform
at the Taj Mahal for a special ceremony. That didn’t work out but I did play at a number
of other places while in India…

With that in mind…
I now know why the taj Mahal is among the Seven Wonders of the World.
Just a block down the street from the Taj Mahal is extreme poverty like
I have never seen. I have never scene such deformed people before.

I will never forget as we were walking toward the entrance to The Taj,
we had to move aside because a heard of water buffalo were coming!

The Taj Mahal will take your breath away. It is spectacular in every
sense of the word. The size, the beauty, the marble…They started
building it in 1632 and finished in in 1653. Over 20,000 people
helped to build this over a 17 year period.

Taj Mahal stands in the city of Agra, in the northern Indian
state of Uttar Pradesh, on the banks of the Yamuna River. Watch
for the photo in the video. It’s on the river.

It was built by the Mogul emporer Shah Jahanbeautiful in memory
of his favorite wife. It is a mausoleum. When you walk inside you will
hear the most magnificent reverb. It’s chilling. I wondered what it
would be like to play my guitar inside the Taj Mahal.

When Vickie and I were there, we saw buddist monks, catholic nuns,
muslums, hindu, holyman and tourist from all over the world.

The music in the backgrround is a live recording I made from my
video camera of a group of 4oo students singing at the Gandhi Museum
in Deli just a few days prior.

Here is a Video Slideshow of our trip The Taj Mahal…All the photos are ours.

I’ll be posting more of our India trip in the very near future..

I’d love to hear your comments…Click on the Comments button

Have a Great Day,

MY Favorite MJ Songs

Tuesday, June 30th, 2009

The King of Pop, Michael Jackson has died…
I grew up listening  to the Jackson 5 and Michael Jackson.
My first slow dance in 6th grade was to the song “I’ll Be There”.
The girl I danced with was Nancy Clore. She was my first crush.
I remember the song ended I didn’t want to let go! What a memory.

You  would be hard pressed find anyone from that generation
that didn’t have a favorite Michael Jackson song. His music
created memories for not thousands but millions of people.
His music transended race.

I heard on the news, Michael Jackson was the most
recognized person in the entire world! I can’t even
comprehend that! Just think, everywhere he went, someone
recognized him.

Did he have issues?
Yes, he had issues and the only people that will ever know
the whole truth on those issues are those that were involved.
For now, I wish to focus on the musical genius.

He influenced most if not all of the top Pop performers of today.
He not only changed a city, state, and country, he influenced
the entire world with his music.

I liked a number of Jackson 5/ Michael Jackson songs.
Thriller, THe Way You Make Me Feel, Rock With You,
Dancing Machine, She’s Out of My Life, Human Nature…

My 3 Favorite Michael Jackson songs are:
1. I’ll Be There
2. ABC
3. Man in The Mirror

Everyone has there own opinion of Michael Jackson and that’s fine.
However, you can never take away the fact that his music has
touched, influnced and inspired more people throught the world
than any other performer.

With that in mind…
Leave a comment.  I’d like to know your favorite 3 Michael Jacklson songs…

Have a Great Day!
